在細(xì)胞的不對等分裂中,前體細(xì)胞被極性的分配到一個子細(xì)胞中去。有絲分裂紡垂體會在胞質(zhì)分裂之前沿著正確的軸定向。在果蠅的中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng),神經(jīng)母細(xì)胞沿著頂部-基部軸不對等的分裂。Petronczki and Knoblich, and Wodarz et al.發(fā)現(xiàn)這個過程類似于線蟲中第一次細(xì)胞分裂。在神經(jīng)母細(xì)胞中,PDZ頂端蛋白Bazooka與DmPAR-6形成復(fù)合物,這個復(fù)合物調(diào)控頂基極性。對于細(xì)胞命運決定子的正確基部定位和細(xì)胞不對等分裂是必需的。
Ohshiro et al. and Peng et al.發(fā)現(xiàn)抑癌基因lgl和dlg對神經(jīng)母細(xì)胞基皮層上的細(xì)胞命運決定子定位是必需的,與Bazooka
complex相獨立。紡錘體的定位已知是與Bazooka complex頂端蛋白Inscuteable和Pins有關(guān)的。
