消息1：中美視光學(xué)高等人才資源發(fā)展計(jì)劃(CORD)繼第一批訪問學(xué)者順利完成任務(wù)后，第二批訪問學(xué)者于1999年2月14日～5月14日前往美國視光學(xué)院進(jìn)修視光學(xué)課程并編輯有關(guān)中文視光學(xué)教材。他們是瞿小妹、戴錦輝(上海醫(yī)大)，俞阿勇(溫醫(yī))，魯向陽、王晶蘊(yùn)(天津醫(yī)大)，劉隆黔(華西醫(yī)大)。他們分別前往波士頓新英格蘭視光學(xué)院，休斯頓視光學(xué)院，加州伯克萊視光學(xué)院，學(xué)習(xí)課程有：視覺光學(xué)、低視力、雙眼視和隱形眼鏡學(xué)，并參與有關(guān)教材的編寫工作。留美期間，他們還參加了ARVO會議，了解美國視光學(xué)的發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀和展望，同時(shí)也學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)術(shù)管理知識。

China Optormetry Resource Development Project(CORD)had dispatched the second team of visiting scholars to optometry colleges in U.S.A. which are consolidated of CORD. The second wave took three months(Feb. 14-May 14)to study optometry courses and establish curriculums in Chinese. They are：Xiaomei Qu，Jinhui Dai(Shanghai Medical University)，Ayong Yu(Wenzhou Medical College)，Xiangyang Lu，Jingyun Wang(Tianjin Medical University)，Longqian Liu(West China University of medical science). They went to New England College of Optometry，College of Optometry at University of Houston，College of Optometryat University of Berkeley respectvely. The courses they majored in are Visual Optics，Low Vision，Binocular Vision，and Contact Lenses. During the period in America，they attended the ARVO Meeting，and took a view of the historic development and tendency of Optometry in U.S.A.. Theyalso learned some academic administration.

消息2：美國休斯頓大學(xué)視光學(xué)院視覺光學(xué)專家蔣百川教授和視覺神經(jīng)生理學(xué)專家Laura Frishman教授于5月10日至30日期間赴溫州醫(yī)學(xué)院和上海醫(yī)科大學(xué)進(jìn)行教學(xué)活動。此次教學(xué)活動屬于CORD計(jì)劃的一個(gè)部分，旨在充分利用國際視光學(xué)教育資源，通過美國教授前來中國進(jìn)行教學(xué)活動，促進(jìn)中美視光學(xué)教育和學(xué)術(shù)的交流。他們在兩校生動而富有系統(tǒng)性的教學(xué)活動受到師生的高度贊賞。
As a part of CORD project，Dr. Baichuan Jiang，an expert of visual optics，and Dr. Laura Frishman，an expert of visual neuroscience presented lectures in Shanghai Medical University and Wenzhou Medical College from May 10 to 30. The purpose of their action is to make good use of international optometry resource. Their teaching activitis will accelerate the optormetry education exchange and academic communication between China and U.S.A. Their tour lecture in Wenzhou and Shanghai were highly valued by the optometry students and faculty.

消息3：由CORD訪美學(xué)者撰寫的部分視光學(xué)教材日前完成初稿，并由溫州醫(yī)學(xué)院CORD協(xié)調(diào)人統(tǒng)一格式和裝訂，它們是《視光學(xué)理論和技能》(徐丹)，《角膜接觸鏡Ⅰ》(鄧應(yīng)平)，《角膜接觸鏡Ⅱ》(鐘興武)，《視覺神經(jīng)生理學(xué)》(薛楓)，《視覺檢查的理論和方法》(陳世豪)，《嬰兒視覺》(候川)，《雙眼視功能異常的處理》(張纓)。這些教材將在各醫(yī)科大學(xué)作為視光學(xué)教材或教學(xué)參考用，經(jīng)過一段時(shí)間試用后，各作者將對教材作進(jìn)一步修正和改進(jìn)。
CORD visiting scholars have established the first draft of optometry textbooks in Chinese. These tectbooks have been consolidated from and stitched by the coordinator of CORD at Wenzhou Medical College. The courses are as following：《Optometry Theory and Method》(Dan Xu)，《Contact Lenses Ⅰ》(Yingping Deng)，《Contact Lenses Ⅱ》(Xingwu Zhong)，《Visual Neurophysiology》(Feng Xue)，《Theory and Method of Vision Testing》(Shihao Chen)，《Pediatric Vision》(Chuan Hou)，《Treatment of Binocular Vision Anomalies》(Ying Zhang).
